History

We are a church plant that began as a core team meeting in August 2011. That fall we launched two missional communities. Because of what Jesus has done for us, we are blessed to live out our new identity as a family of servant missionaries. In these Missional Communities, we live this new identity of family daily, throughout the week, together. We eat meals together, play games together, work, shop, and just about anything and everything a regular family would do together. In January of 2012, we started gathering our core team together on Sundays to worship God. While most people would call this church, we call it our gathering, because we are the church and we do not attend the church. In January of 2013, we opened up our weekly gathering times to anyone who wanted to join us. Our Sunday gathering is informal and casual (the pastor usually wears jeans). We spend time in worship to our God with music, a message, the Lord's supper, and an offering of our service and tithes to God. Our Sunday Gathering meets weekly from 10am until noon at 89 Birch St., Lewiston, Maine 04240.

Our Community

Missional Communities are the primary means through which Redemption Hill mobilizes people together on Jesus' mission and connects people to a caring community. The following chart best displays why we believe this.

P/R = Proactive and Reactive
